So if it takes over a month for Texans to all transact on BTC. They can only settle their Lightning Network tabs once a month. Just food for thought.

This also assumes each only has one channel... but since channels can be locked/spontaneously closed by 3rd parties, one should have multiple channels to increase the probability of payment success.
