If I were to take a month long hiatus from paying attention to BSV, the pace of change would not slow, and the experience of jumping back in would be mind blowing.

So, could I do something to create more positive change? Should I?

Maybe you could recreate a simple product like a memo.cash or something, and document your efforts? I did something like that and it took for EVER and there was little to no documentation

This is a hard question, and I have no benefits from 20/20 hindsight.

All I can do is to choose the best path and try to stick with it.

That's all any of us can do.

I believe it is important to find how I can produce valuable goods or services beyond that which I consume, but the question is, where should I direct those efforts? In Bitcoin, or elsewhere?

The rate of positive change in BSV is incredible, and it is showing no signs of slowing.

It has done this without a strong influence from me.

So what can I realistically do to move progress forward significantly?

Twetch ·

This is a long term effort, and if I can't continue pushing it forward for whatever reason, then it will fail.

For me as an individual, I think the question is, so what if it does?

Twetch ·

I'm not sure that is the best use of my resources and skill set.

I am not a programmer, and while I have learned some programming, it is extremely unlikely to ever be a skill which I am proficient in.

I do not have the skill set required to create a project like Twetch or WeatherSV despite having many ideas that I believe would be strong movements in the right direction.

I have recently shifted towards helping others to start building for themselves, but so far that effort has been difficult for me to continue pushing forward despite it hitting every check box for me as an individual.

Twetch ·

I am asking this of myself, though answers from others are appreciated.

Up to now, I have worked to understand Bitcoin on as deep a level as I can, and to share this understanding with others.

I believe the value in this effort is diminishing fast.

Anyways - these are some of the thoughts I'm having.

At the very least, I think it is important for people here, now and in the future, to see the sorts of thoughts that go into my experience as an individual pushing for Bitcoin adoption in the world.

Matthew, Bitcoin seems like a high leverage use of your skills. Plus, your presence is evidence of natural interest, which is a strong signal.

There are plenty of room for ideas, sharing, and collaborating.
Find others who are moving in parallel.

I find it super boring when somebody’s entire identity is bitcoin. I’m much more interested in people w a different skill set who also know about crypto and can keep things casual. Programming isn’t that hard tho!

Twetch ·

If you aren’t interested in coding per se a break would be a good idea I think! Figure out what your passion is. Take up freestyle rap. Whatever u end up doing crypto will help.

Twetch ·

The difficulty of programming isn't the issue. Rather, what is difficult for me isn't the programming itself.

But I absolutely agree, there's little value in crypto alone. It must be more.

Do what you do well. If that isn't in BitCoin, then it isn't in BitCoin.https://twetch.app/t/4ed25af5bbcbcc1ab19cb238349f345a5ea250ad0a196fc126bf70b7e2c11e87

We need to start to create rhetoric that invites Ethereum developers and investors on to BSV - I think that is a valuable place to spend our time.
