Symbolism is probably the greatest of all hidden knowledge. Even the letters I type this with are symbols because they carry meaning with their shape and construction. All symbols are created with intention and those intentions fuel their power.

Everything from a $ to ancient Nordic runes carry magical weight because someone made the intention to draw them out in the ground. Lending symbols or even creating sigils(like the one on twitter) is a good way to use symbols.
Intentions alone do not produce results.
This is true. The intention carries a message though, and when someone sees said protection symbol, they are given the impression that the place is protected due to the intention. That’s the magic, I don’t know why it works but it does.
Yes, but the symbols power does not permeate beyond the consciousness of the one that understands it meaning.
I disagree, certain symbols are engrained into DNA subconsciously. If a baby mouse sees the symbolic outline of a hawk, his instincts tell him to run.
The toddler can figure out on their own that the square peg doesn’t fit in the round hole because the intention is already there for them to discover.
Again, the symbols power does not permeate beyond the consciousness of the one that understands it meaning.
Also, this only extend towards symbols that are nearly universally understood within a cultural sub group. For example, placing Laxmi's feet at ones doorstep.

The doubt you have for the collective subconscious will surprise you in the coming times.
If I put a peace sign in my window it should welcome peace. If I put a protection sigil in my window, it should protect me. If it doesn’t then magic isn’t real, but it does. 🤷♂️
I have no doubt in the existence of collective thought constructs. They constantly show themselves in culture.
I have just found that non-contextual symbols do not do anything with regard to communicating with an egregore.
It really doesn't.
