I suspect #SatoshiNakamoto anticipated before even the white paper was released that it would be important to disenfranchise the evil (btc fork) and the greedy (bch fork), and everything up to now has been him gaming them to do exactly that to themselves.

Yep, he knew "I don't believe a second, compatible implementation of Bitcoin will ever be a good idea. So much of the design depends on all nodes getting exactly identical results in lockstep that a second implementation would be a menace to the network."
