I am not so sure anymore, if you make an analogy with Napster and eDonkey what we got now is netflix, itunes and youtube. The same is happening with Bitcoin. It becomes irrelevant as soon as companies give better tools selling to customers convenient services that soon make original premise fade away. For example in Korea I am using Toss app a super financial app that is what Bitcoin needs… but there isnt. Toss pay me rewards micro rewards for browsing shopping feeds, for checking ads, for paying… all connected to every card companies and shops… it is so powerful that Bitcoin becomes useless.

Toss seems to following the same blueprint as China with WeChat. Centralized, permissioned, controlled, surveillance-ready..the opposite of Bitcoin, but you already know that I’ll bet.
I agree with you this super-app model is a danger.. convenience is very attractive for people. If they only knew the power that Bitcoin brings them. Maybe they don’t care, I’m not sure.
I work on Bitcoin because I have hope. Hope for humanity. I think there’s a chance. As far as scalable blockchains that actually work and are secure? BitcoinSV is the only one. Everything else is a silly playground.
