A ruler is someone who claims the privilege to initiate violence, taxation for example.

How can you have the same rules for everyone while having someone who claims the rules don't apply to them?

Same rules for everyone (individual rights) implies there are no privileges (special rights).

You cannot have a ruler and individual rights at the same time.

Transparency and accountability.

Then again, if i were part of the elite class where would i stand. I would likely assume superiority over lower class and not view accountability to be held to the same standard. We need struggle and we need balance.

As long as someone has the privilege to force others to participate in their club/cult/organization/state the same rules don't apply to everyone.
