Statism is the male equivalent of a rape fantasy.

It's a fantasy based on the urge to be taken advantage of and having your individual rights violated by a very special perpetrator. The last part is key. Just like female rape fantasies aren't about being raped by some bum, but by a powerful man (millionaire, vampire, rockstar), the male equivalent, too, is about that SPECIAL person in charge, violating your rights.

I think it's the false confidence that power will always be wielded in your favor... that the "stapist" will go after others... it comes as a shock when it turns on those who helped create it

I'd go a step further and say that there is a false confidence that ANYONE can hold power without becoming corrupt and evil. Power is what turns humans into deluded demons who slaughter millions "for the greater good"
