Starting a gourmet mushroom grow

Hoth - not gourmet. It's gour-YAY!!!

Expanding my Liquid Culture collection. Making an endless supply of mycelium to be used to inoculate grain spawn.

I would say it all starts here at the petri dish, but it really starts with spores on the petri dish. Hopefully good genetics pop off and when one dish looks strong and clean, you transfer a section to a new plate to isolate the strongest genetics and that's what you would typically use for inoculation.

Eventually, you have your bag of grain completely covered in this white fuzz. It is quite literally the nervous system of mushrooms. When you see mushrooms on the ground, this is underground. It connects the fruiting bodies and can span for miles and miles. Are mushrooms intelligent life?
