"Squad Leader's profile is... interesting," Rogue processes. "Military-grade combat implants, but they're older models. Recognition protocols suggest Prometheus security clearance, high level."
You move down the center corridor, your nanobots casting elongated shadows from scattered debris. The blue glow reveals boot prints in the dust - old ones, heading in both directions.
"One thing stands out in his bioscan - elevated cortisol levels even while unconscious. He's afraid of something. Could be useful during interrogation."
The archive entrance ahead is partially blocked by a fallen filing cabinet that you move out of the way effortlessly. Your bioluminescent glow spills into the archives, revealing rows of data terminals and storage units. As you enter with the Squad Leader, the dormant systems suddenly whir to life.
"It's his presence," Rogue confirms. "His security clearance is still valid in these systems. Every time we move him into a new section, it triggers automatic access protocols."
You prop the Squad Leader against a wall, his head lolling forward. The nearest terminal screen flickers weakly, displaying:
SCANNING... CLEARANCE DETECTED ACCESSING...
A soft groan escapes his lips - he's starting to come around. What do you want to do?
