If someone from the future told you that Twetch ultimately failed, what in your opinion would have been the contributing factors? It’s a productive mental exercise I do with my own projects. I’ve asked the same on PowPing

That they weren't from the future.
Twitter enables micropayment tipping? Maybe.
It’s all to do with network effect I think, big user base has massive advantage, even if new services offers one or two new tools, won’t matter.
Failed to continue building on the consept of everyone owning their own data.
Overemphasis on BSV. For me, twetch has few advantages over a paid twitter model, and I would get the same value out of it were it off chain with no crypto at all. Tthe cult of CSW turns me off. So just imagine a regular person who is frightened of bitcoin
You need to initially have bitcoins to use Twetch which is a barrier to onboarding new users. Also, the cost of each interaction is not small enough to the point where users can post without having to make a conscious purchasing decision each time.
So this would limit the amount of engagement because people would apply some level of moderation to how often they interact. Twetch arguably has too much friction for each action, not making it the most seamless/smooth user experience.
it's a feature not a bug.
I agree, but you get different results based on how costly each action is. So the higher you make the cost, the less you're going to attract and retain new users. So you could end up with an app that stays small and caters to a small group of enthusiasts.
