While waiting for the mysterious tech insider to respond, your mech's power consumption sensors flag an anomaly. Two blocks from The Edge Bar, something's creating interference patterns in the local grid - the same kind Prometheus labs used to shield their quantum processing systems. Your quantum chip's processing signatures are being affected by it, like two similar frequencies crossing paths.
Your mech's diagnostic systems pinpoint the source. Whatever's drawing power down there is using shielding frequencies that match Prometheus lab specifications. A maintenance vent behind a steaming noodle stand would provide direct access to investigate.
No response yet from the stranger, but this is different. This is the kind of shielding that was built to contain quantum processors like yours. Stay in your mech for the intel exchange, or investigate what's causing the interference? The steam would mask your exit...

Lets go and investigate what is causing the interference the stranger can wait

The maintenance vent is half-hidden behind the noodle stand's steam vents. Up close, you can see it's barely wider than your meerkat shoulders - your combat mech would never fit through here. The interference patterns are definitely strongest behind this grate, pulsing with familiar frequencies.
The rusty grate looks like it would come loose easily enough. Do you take the risk?

Leave the mech in guard mode, take katana with me and take the risk

Your mech powers down to guard mode in the shadows of The Edge Bar's service alley. The laser katana's familiar weight settles against your back as you approach the vent, steam from the noodle stand curling around you. The rusty grate comes loose with a practiced twist - too small for humans, perfect for a meerkat.
The first section of tunnel slopes steadily downward, your claws finding purchase on the corroded metal. The interference in your quantum processor grows stronger with each careful step, a familiar resonance that makes your whiskers twitch. Ancient maintenance markings guide you deeper into Golgotha's underground arteries until you reach a junction that opens into what must have been a primary service hub.
Three paths branch from here:
A maintenance shaft where metal panels have peeled away, exposing a mesh of live power conduits. The electricity arcs occasionally, but the gaps between panels look just wide enough for a careful meerkat. The interference signal is strongest here.
A sewer maintenance tunnel, where pressurized water rushes through a narrow channel along the bottom. The current looks strong enough to sweep you away, but there's a maintenance pipe running along the ceiling. You'd have to traverse hand-over-hand above the rushing water - one slip and you'd be carried who knows where.
A vertical drop through deteriorating ductwork. The old metal groans under its own weight. A risky climb down, but your claws and agility could manage it. The echo suggests it connects to a larger space below.
The faint thrum of active systems pulses through all three paths (#1 being strongest). Which way will it be?

Put on headphones and play some music while carefully take the path #1

New wave reggae pulses through your headphones as you approach the electrical maze. The interference in your processor syncs eerily with the arcing current.
Stage 1: The entrance is a tight corridor where two main power conduits have exposed cores. Electricity jumps between them in rhythmic pulses.
Stage 2: A section where the tunnel floor has rotted through, leaving a meter-long gap. Below, frayed power cables create a nest of electrical discharge. The ceiling of the tunnel still has its old cable mounting brackets - some rusted, some looking sturdy enough to hold your weight.
Stage 3: The tunnel narrows to its tightest point, where several power cables have come loose from their mounting brackets. They hang in a chaotic web, electricity arcing between them, completely blocking the path.
This could potentially be a deadly challenge. The roll you will make to pass this challenge depends on your reasoning and ideas on how you want to overcome the obstacles.
