this is locking... you can choose the amount and duration of the lock
this will provable escrow the bitcoin for the specified amount of time associated to the message... similar to a twitter like, but using a scarce resource for a stronger signal

yes! we are working on tipping, which will reward the author, but locking is the cheapest way to "monetize" information as the locker incurs only the opportunity cost of being unable to use the locked funds, as opposed to straight up losing the money
but you still get a price associated with the message, and can use that to rank content
you can change the amount and duration of the lock by clicking the "lock" icon to the right of the button, input what you want and then click "save quick lock"
