Sex is not like alcohol. There are some things you should never do. Pornography and playing with yourself are two examples. There is NEVER anything good about pornography and playing with yourself. They are NET NEGATIVES. Don't cheat nature. Yeah, your going to have nights where you cannot sleep. Deal with it. If you can't sleep, get up and do something to occupy your mind. Drinking alcohol is another example. But having sex with a partner—it would be an incredibly sad life to never experience that.

Sex should obviously not be completely shunned. It can be the best thing you ever do. But there are boundaries to it and you have to find out what those boundaries are without crossing them if you can. This is something I really like about the LDS church (in spite of its Globetardedness and being a 501c3 government bitch). Think of sex like a river of fire. And you are banking and cooling it with a thousand restraints. Is great to make love, but you have to be willing to pay the consequences of that. Exercising sexual restraint to a degree will bring greater happiness to your relationship than not doing so. It's this way with most things—the harder path is USUALLY the right path. But there are hard paths that are the wrong path too. Life is complicated. It reminds me of the shirt with Jesus in the white robe on a hang glider that says "what WOULDN'T Jesus do?".
