why don't you just tell us what is wrong with Trump's policy? your post is a strange kind of framing whereby you seem to conclude and assert all this negativity about anyone who might respond. very strange behavior IMHO.
Twetch ·
Tundra doesn’t like hearing that trump is a rapist and adulterer. So don’t mention that 🤫
Twetch ·
True I am very distrustful of information regarding Trump. He may very well be a bad man however it is difficult to determine because the excessive amount of lies about him. but anyway this original post strikes me as strange. I want to understand more
Twetch ·
I am fascinated by the "lets make it public" part. like whoever he is imagining is supposed to be scared by this? interesting reveal sorry different world than mine so trying to relate/understand

According to Adam Smith, imposing an artificial cost on foreign trade can be effective IF there is a tax on the other side AND there is a high probability of getting the other side to come to a more reasonable rate in the short-mid term.
Twetch ·
Rafael, are you saying the tariff on China has done good for US?
Twetch ·
Trade wars was the result of the Great Depression under Herbert Hoover. Guess what party he’s part of? Hint same party waging trade wars now. Stop wars GOP supporters please
Twetch ·
No, it will have done good if the US gets a good deal, much better than the previous.
Twetch ·
You have 0 understanding of economics
Twetch ·
No I don't. I do have economic knowledge.
Twetch ·
Economics is hard. Both parties have bad and good ideas. We need someone that would merge the good.
Twetch ·
Rafael, if Trump was trying to bring manufacturing back, why didn't he just subsize the industry instead of the tariff?
Twetch ·
Who said Trump's tariffs are only about that? I am not defending him, I said that Adam Smith speaks about that: he said there are some situations where this can help i. e. when there are high taxes on the other side AND you think you can get a better deal
Twetch ·
I don’t agree with subsidizing. I think instead of complaining about China, we need to compete and win in that way instead.
Twetch ·
I agree BitcoinHoarder, it was actually it was a trick question. The answer is because it's what a socialist would do. Just gauging if someone understands that basic understanding of economics
Twetch ·
My point was just that there are some situations where a trade pressure via taxation can be useful, according to Adam Smith.
Twetch ·
Well, I would recommend you 2 things:
- Not to generalize, each situation is different.
- To read the 4th book of "The Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith (he is capitalist enough I think)
And I don't like Trump's way of doing his trading pressure.
