The self, the soul is the acrobat walking uphill on a tight rope.

On the left side is the abyss of the mind,
on the right side is body, death.

The middle path.

The way of the soul, the way of the heart,
of love.

Leaning too far to the left, to the mind, brings fear, illusion, future, past.

Leaning too far to the right, to the body, brings fear, hunger, pain, desire.

Don't fall

Twetch ·

what is the abyss of the mind? a lack of faith?

Twetch ·

The mind is like a bubble of extreme possibilities.

It tells us stories about the past and potential future

Most of it is based in fear

Insanity is to fall too far into the mind and believe everything it says

The problem is we identify with the mind...

Twetch ·

There is no tight rope walking until we realize that the voice(s) we call 'I' is just the mind talking.

Once we realize we are not the mind,
the search for the self intensifies...

Watching the mind brings distance between us and the mind: awareness.

But that's just the way I see it and there are many other ways to look at this experience of life.

I am neither enlightened nor a prophet.
I believe in live and let live.

Happy if my perspective is valuable to anyone, though.

This life is a great gift.
