It seems that HandCash and RelayX re-use deposit addresses on Android. This is quite concerning. SimplyCash seems to be the best BSV wallet at the moment.

Yes, please explain 🙏

Moneybutton does not re-use deposit addresses either, so this is a good web wallet.

I just followed you, by the way, how/why do you suppose that Simply Cash is more secure wallet than other options? I'd like to know your sources, thanks in advance

Wallets with good privacy practices:
- SimplyCash
- ElectrumSV (desktop)

Wallets with bad privacy practices:
- Exodus (desktop)
- HandCash
- RelayX

When you deposit BSV to your wallet, it should generate a new address each time. If it does not do this, then you are re-using addresses which is bad for your privacy.

None of these are really very good with privacy overall, because you must still trust a third party who can see you query pubkeys, but at least the first two don't re-use addresses.

Maybe Handcash 2.0 implements this?

Twetch ·

Does electrumSV generate new addresses? It didn't look that way to me. Or do you manually have to generate new addresses?

Twetch ·

@210 I would hope this is on the roadmap for handcash 2.0

Practically I don't use Simply Cash https://imgur.com/a/Fi4BNRj I'll give it a try I designed that T-Shirt (it's my SC address) let me know your Simply Cash address to create yours, pmiller

@1264 yes, but you are best off just using the Addresses tab in Electrum so that you don't accidentally re-use an address. there's something called a gap-limit for addresses in Electrum you can increase for more addresses

Relayx confirmed on twitter they have it on their roadmap for September to implement this feature.
