Funny enough, i found out Dr. Wright suggesting this paper to someone else in 2007 when the person was talking about "Security and Obscurity".
Dr. Wright was also a member of IEEE back in the days.
Dr. Wright had knowledge of all the relevant references from the Bitcoin whitepaper prior to the release of Bitcoin.
