What a score!! The pear tree next door was overburdened and lost a limb the other day. I went scavenging with a couple of my kids. We got an abundance of fruit, and also some great Pear wood for fire season after summer is over.

I can’t wait to get to some chutney and dried pears once these beauties ripen. We also will have quite a score with whatever drops this year.

Most abundant year for pears in the eight seasons we have lived next to this tree. Woohooo!!!
