crosschain operability and decentralized oracles. Brings smart contracts to any blockchain too

Twetch 路

What does decentralized mean if the devs can change things whenever they want. Both LINK, ETH devs

Twetch 路

but dont worry according to BSV thot leaders its a blatant scam

Twetch 路

Link is chain agnostic middleware. Decentralized in this context means the oracles source different APIs trustlessly and penalizes mistakes. Trustlessly connects different blockchains etc.

it is not a "crypto"

"Set in stone" meme doesnt apply here

Twetch 路

Relayx and MB can use Link for their price oracles for example so theres no fuck ups like one day it costs $0.04 to post a picture and another day its $0.14

Twetch 路

Interesting. Why don鈥檛 they break off and become their own blockchain then instead of still being on ETH? Just asking

Twetch 路

the tokens were issued on ETH in 2017 just like everything else. I'd imagine with the crazy fees its not the optimal blockchain for this

Twetch 路

So its possible for Link to move to on BSV in future then?

@2 may you share your thoughts on Link? Is it something that has a chance of hanging around with BSV down the track?

Twetch 路

Ok read this to understand chainlink

https://www.bitcoin-squad.com/chiliz-has-integrated-with-chainlink-what-are-the-benefits-of-this-cooperation/

Chainlink is just another premined shitcoin. SHA-256 proof of work as a solution to the Byzantine Generals Problem is what makes BitCoin valuable.

Chainlink like ETH will promise the world, fail to scale, and deliver nothing. Good luck burning your money.

Twetch 路

What lol?

You guys have serious misunderstanding of what link is. It is NOT a decentralized crypto like bitcoin. Its a utility token thats staked and transferred in the link network...

But yeah premine ICO definitly

Twetch 路

Usury scam. Good luck with your investment.

Why would a base layer digital money protocol need a price oracle?
This is a trivial problem, a line of code. First of all BSV Nodes have freedom to set prices any way they see fit, fast/slow, hi/lo. Second, apps can simply convert prices, it's trivial.

Twetch 路

base layer digital money protocol doesn't. your apps built on it do.

Already have an app in development that does this, it's a simple api call to check for price on an exchange. Business is fast, but it's not THAT fast, especially for a microtransaction business. Still not understanding. What do I pay for chainlink service?

Twetch 路

Sorry bro. can't teach someone who dont wanna learn

Twetch 路

Highly recommend defining "crosschain operability"
as well as "decentralized oracles".

Theres TWO "apps for that"
1. Define: https://www.slictionary.com/createword/@/@
2. Bounty: Pay others to define:

Enter term
hit Set Bounty

im not shilling link. i sold all mine long ago. I do think its very useful and BSV apps can leverage it instead of making own oracles and all that shit link has solved

Twetch 路

Also it can be easily copied so not sure what value prop it has. CSW claimed its even patented by nchain but when i confronted the li k marines about it they couldnt answer that

Twetch 路

Not buyin what you're sellin.

So far nothing you've said is interesting, but figured I'd give it a shot to see if ChainLink could elevator pitch me for why I need it. Not in the habit of reading long tomes about stuff I don't need.

Twetch 路

You need data from outside the blockchain for your smart contracts you will use link to query more than 1 API to get the truth. An oracle that fucks up gets punished.
Example: Coinbase price API glitches, your contract makes mistake. bad.
