What's the technical reason for not having image uploads here?

Perhaps it's a legal (copyright) reason?

First it was about filters, not being able to AI check images for nudity or similar. I think this will change soon, with easier reporting (report tx) for malicious data uploads.
Kudos to a small team for making Twetch functional and for taking the time to do it right and thoughfully.
At Twetch we don't have a way of moderating content yet. We've got solutions, we just haven't implemented them yet. They're all coming soon!
Thank you for these explanations, maybe relying on an existing image service could be another valid solution as well - everyone does what they do the best.
We are already doing something similar for memes and we’ll be allowing known and trusted third parties such as yourself to upload images.
Eventually we’ll have a user moderation scheme in which Twetch users can make money for moderating illegal content.
You can post screenshots of tweets but they wouldn't be recorded to the OP_RETURN with a link to the original tweet the same way Twitter URLs posted to Twetch and have it screenshotted by Twetch automatically.
I thought it was because of a niche where you etch tweets and it can’t be faked.. if you can post images you can post fake tweets. Guess I was wrong!
When you post a twitter url, in addition to the image we store on chain meta data related to that tweet as well
Exciting things to come
