What’s people thoughts on a model where you subscribe to users.

Once subscribed, you can comment for free.

Users control subscription price (minimum 2p month).

This could encourage more engagement.

The fee could be flexible, if people want to charge more.

Someone else came up with this idea but isn’t yet on Twetch, I will give them credit once here, I’m just eager to see what others think about this, because I think it’s a really interesting idea.

It removes the feeling of paying every comment.

Neat idea. I think I prefer the pay per use option, a problem that hasn't been solved until Bitcoin came along.

I think it would be novel to try it out though as an option.

I hear what you are saying @204 about using Bitcoin’s advantages. But surely a tiny fee per month follow anyone around the world, couldn’t be achieved without Bitcoin as well. So it does capitalise on Bitcoin still.

Sometimes people think I’m trying to get money out of them, when I just want an open discussion. I have been accused of this, which isn’t true or fair. Subscription model would change this.

One issue with paying each time, is that you actually disincentive engagement. If you have a conversation, people are put off because they pay each time. I’ve had this happen to me many times. I think engagement should be encouraged.

Twetch ·

Maybe you still pay each comment when you are not a follower.

Twetch ·

How much of a few would you propose? Per thread or per follower?

Twetch ·

I say let the users decide. Let them have the flexibility to adjust it.

Minimum being 2/5 cents a month.

I’m just thinking off the top of my head here, nothing calculated.

Twetch ·

Per follower.
