For recording my novel I used ElevenLabs. It’s very good. It produces the audio in chunks and then you go back and in re-generate lines that didn’t come out right first time. Sometimes it glitches or doesn’t get the intonation/pronunciation right. Though it is relatively expensive as you need a higher tier account whilst you record the project. It gave a great reading of the novel, but I couldn’t use it for Audible unfortunately. (They are starting to do AI read versions, but via some other app that doesn’t do a very good job and it sounds pretty robotic I think - not a patch on ElevenLabs.) If you’re using it for a game, though, these considerations don’t apply to you. The voices are excellent, and you can even record it yourself and get it re-spoken in your chosen voice I think, so plenty of scope to get the voice acting/intonation right.
