So far, if people are blindly following CSW, it appears to me that such blind following has produced FAR less of such circumstances than in, say, BCH (checkpoints, devtax, etc.) or BTC (as if I need to give examples...)
In fact, I would even suggest that such blind following has produced moves *away* from "bugs" and "system breaking changes" such as P2SH, broken op codes, etc.
So... From a pragmatic standpoint, I don't see how your objection is consistent with reality.
It seems to contradict reality in that either:
A) People blindly following CSW is actually going pretty well so far, or
B) People aren't blindly following CSW as you fear.
