I will disagree. You have an item that lasts for 40years of productive life that even without subsidy (assuming you didn't get ripped off, which may explain your ignorance) the price per kwh generated is better than utility co. Plus you have an asset.

I'm in the solar business, we move a lot of solar. I know the cost structure Today of equipment/installation, with or without incentives. I'm sorry, you're wrong, as you are not in the business you don't know today's costs vs production vs degradation.
