I would recommend pycharm or vscode for python development over xcode, even if xcode has some support for python, it's almost certainly lacking compared to these tools

xcode not for development, but because updating updates a bunch of developer tools that a lot of other stuff needs. Without updating xcode you run into errors installing the other stuff in the #learningpython
