The reason we should all want Boost implemented now is that it will make the economy grow faster. Ever since Bitcoin has started we've had a problem with people successfully promoting stupid ideas. Boost will stop that.

Well if acquiring the Bitcoins in the first place was at least close to unforgeably costly, then losing control over them is a cost.

But I'm not saying it is the same as the POW approach, just curious what peoples' opinions are.
