isn't that how it used to be? the quote (1 or many) would go under the highlighted middle panel answer

I do like the new change, specifically the ability to quote as a new post/answer when you are in the middle panel (searching existing content) without RHS expanded.

Where it gets a bit confusing for me when I do expand RHS and I have a given answer highlighted, I sort of implying I want to quote something from RHS sub-quest into this answer I highlighted. Right now with the new change, it just goes to the bottom which is a bit unclear in terms of UX and also as to what the user is intending to do.

What I really liked about ability to quote from RHS into middle panel selected answer, is that I can add say 1 or many quotes into a given answer and it creates these card style references, which I can use to check off as Im working through some project. I would just click them off if Im done with them. Almost like a Kanban board style view.
