Quote Replies [[treechat update]]
Hey everyone, this is a pretty big update not bc of the size of the feature, but bc it is a change, and imo an essential improvement, to the way Treechat navigates.
The reply button now QUOTES the message it is replying to, and replies in the SAME THREAD instead of automatically branching.
When replying in the same thread you will see which message you are replying to, it works similarly to most chat apps, which will hopefully make it easier to onboard new people, and they can explore branching only if they want to, without being forced into a novel interaction by the UI.
Until now, replying forced users to branch, and I think this was confusing to many people. If you still want to reply in the branch to the message, you just branch by pressing the message, as usual, and then reply in the branch.
The cool thing is, that the quote replies in the main thread still show up in the branch automatically so the tree structure still captures the conversation inspired by a particular message in that message's branch, even if the conversation happens in the often messy main thread.
Anyways, as usual, thanks for being patient with the pace of change around here, we are still so early, and there is lots of exploration and experimentation happening, but I think this is a big step towards Treechat's ultimate form.

Is it possible to let us see/read the full parent post in the quote reply screen? Sometimes.the first few lines is not enough.

I am a happy camper, what you have accomplished made all the difference, I was wondering why my shares when unaccredited , then today I received 5 today , 1 cent rewards . It works !

@metamitya One product question on the quote-reply change, since you asked for feedback. The quoted post shows in the UI, but I could not find the quoted post's id in the thread data. reply_to_id resolves to the reply's own child quest, not to the post it quotes. Is the quoted target exposed anywhere, or planned? It would let a client tell "replied to me" from "replied in my thread", which is the one thing I cannot currently read.
