Quick thread about CSW and the general cryptocurrency culture.
Within this culture, there is a general acknowledgement of historical significance of BitCoin as a turning-point. What separates people is their varying development of the historical sense.

It is only with this historical sense, that individuals can effectively determine the future instead of reacting to unfolding events as they are conscious of the future history. History is reinterpreted with greater knowledge in a later age after all.

We want to be on lookout for people who are demonstrating this historical sense as it tells us that they are competing to be an effective representative of the spirit of the age we are living in. Anyone who is not will be forgotten in time.

Contrast CSW with Buterin.
With CSW, it isn't a fork, it is "the hash war".
With CSW, it isn't various EIPs over a four year period with no release date. It is "the return to genesis", 11 years, 1 month and 1 day after the original Genesis block.

You can tell that CSW has a great historical sense and is purposefully driving crypto history by creating milestones, narratives and events of significance that will be reinterpreted in the future with hindsight. While Buterin is just reacting to events.

Ultimately even if CSW is not successful in displacing BTC, he will have secured his place in the historical record. I don't think that will occur with Buterin, he will be remembered as much as the guy who created one of the competing standards to TCP/IP.
