Public pricing is the best denominator for fair competition in any market.
If state & private has to price their services, they compete.
A lot of countries misses public pricing of their health care services versus private.
What if private is cheaper?

competition will always lower price. health care may be the exception as it is the only service that you get before you know the price. and most times the price is not available to "Bargain Shop" for better deals.
Believe it or not, most healthcare is scheduled.
In Norway citizen have the right to choose private or social. Social has to have public listed prices for procedures.
When choosing private, you pay the difference (technically) from social welfare.
