Absolutely.
Imagine paying cash in a store or restaurant and being asked:
"Do you want your change
in cash or bitcoin, Sir?"
That would be interesting but would the restaurant eventually lose tons of money dishing out bitcoin? Possibly. Thats why I say tie it into repeat business like a gift card/rewards card
I guess they could adjust the amount of bitcoin you get as change according to their needs.
"Would you prefer to get your change as $98 in cash or 97 in Bitcoin, Sir?"
