The problem with collectivism isn't "working together". The problem with tribalism isn't identifying with a group.

The problem with collectivism is the violation of individual rights for a supposed greater good. The problem with tribalism is always screaming "foul" when a player from your team falls, and always screaming "dive" when one of the other team falls, ignoring facts, truth and reality in favor of group identity.

Working together and identifying with a group are perfectly fine. Violating rights and being a hypocrite isn't.
