🟢 Six ways to be paid on Zoide, and what each one asks of you
The usual way to answer "how do I earn here" is to quote a percentage. Percentages are easy to publish, and they answer the wrong question. The one that decides whether a route is open to you at all is simpler:
whether you already have the thing it runs on.
Some of these routes run on capital. Some run on work. One runs on neither. Sorted that way they stop looking like a rate card and start looking like a choice.
🟢 The six, named
🔹 Affiliate code — when somebody subscribes using it
🔹 Referral — when somebody buys through your link
🔹 Creator royalty — on every resale of a piece you minted
🔹 Being outbid in an auction — the next bid pays the bidder it replaces
🔹 Someone rating your collection — most of the rating fee goes to the creator
🔹 Tips — from whoever sends one
Same six, same order, on the page linked at the end.
🟢 A worked example: publishing a collection
No projection, no numbers invented for the occasion. Just the sequence.
🔹 A wallet is created in the browser, or an existing one is imported. That wallet is the account — there is no separate sign-up — and it carries two keys: one that pays, one that holds the pieces.
🔹 It gets funded with enough BSV to cover the network fee on the submission.
🔹 The items go up in the creator dashboard — names, numbers, optional rarity ranks — and the collection is sent for review.
🔹 Once approved it is scheduled in the Mint Zone, as a fixed-price mint or as an auction.
🔹 Every mint, and every bid in an auction, settles on chain and pays the creator inside that same transaction.
Then the part that outlives the drop. A royalty is written into each piece's on-chain metadata at mint, so it applies to every later resale, by anyone, wherever it is sold — with the creator not involved in that sale at all.
That is the difference between selling a collection once and publishing one.
🟢 The route that needs neither capital nor art
For someone arriving with an audience rather than a collection, the pair to read is the affiliate code and the referral link. They pay on different events: an affiliate code pays when somebody subscribes with it, a referral link pays when somebody buys through it.
Two conditions are worth knowing before building anything on top of either. An affiliate code is granted, not self-served. And receiving referral commissions requires a subscription — an unsubscribed referrer earns nothing, because the commission is not reduced, it is simply never created.
🟢 Where the money turns up
There is no earnings dashboard, because there is nothing to reconcile. Each of these mechanisms is an output of the transaction that triggers it, sent straight to the address on chain. No payout schedule, no minimum, no withdrawal step. By the time the sale confirms, the payment has already happened.
🟢 What nobody is promising
No yield, no staking, no interest, no guaranteed return. Every mechanism above pays only when somebody else does something — buys, bids, rates or tips. If nothing happens, nothing is paid, and prices are only ever what someone is willing to pay.
🟢 All six in one table
The reference page puts them side by side: who pays each one, how much, and when it reaches your wallet. Including the section nobody enjoys reading, on what none of this is.
