Tomatoes... I don't really understand (yet) what they want.
If I dare not watering ours a day, there is a big chance that they die the next day.
Last week we went to the cemetery to celebrate a "heavenly birthday" and a few (empty) graves further we found an unguarded tomato?!?
I will return in a few weeks and hopefully I will find those tomatoes still there as I would really like to have the seeds of those tomatoes. I believe they must be stronger than store bought ones.

This tomato plant makes me look like a total fool going in the garden every night watering while sweating like a race horse in temperatures around 35°C (~100F).
It seems our friend (that we celebrated) tries to tell us something: "take it easy, in the end all will work out just fine".

So yesterday I returned to the cemetery to see if those tomatoes on that wild tomato plant ripened and Yes they did, so I collected them.
They didn't survive the long travel/walk back home but that is OK as I collected them because I believe the seeds in them must have super powers.
I will dry the seeds and store them for planting next season. We'll see!

Mulch and even shingles to prevent water from evaporating too much fast...

Interesting, I've tried several times to grow toms in Thailand where it 33 degrees on a cool day using seeds from the local market without success
You might find burying a few dead bodies in the garden helps with soil fertility

What kind of dead bodies? ...It sounds somewhere between the macabre and the threatening
