Indelible 4.9.0 is live, and your on-chain memory just learned to understand.

Until now, recall was keyword search: you had to remember the words you used. Now it searches by meaning. Describe the idea ("the conversation about connecting everything out of walled gardens") and it finds the session, no keywords needed.

The Indelible difference: the meaning-model runs 100% on your machine. Your text never leaves it. The big memory startups run your content through their servers and some train on it. We compute the intelligence where the data lives: with you.

And because your memories are permanent on-chain while the meaning-index is a rebuildable cache, the intelligence upgrades forever. 2026 memories, searchable by 2030 models.

Update: npm install -g indelible-mcp@latest, restart Claude Code, then run indelible-mcp semantic-fetch once. Also fixes autosave for chat-based setups (run indelible-mcp install-hooks once if that's you).

Update (same day): we pressure-tested this on a real 5,000 session index, my whole history back to February, because retrieval quality at scale is the only honest test.
It showed us where to tune, so we shipped 4.9.1 within hours: substantial conversations now rank over tiny auto-save fragments, and the one-time indexing step runs clean.
Already installed? Just run npm install -g indelible-mcp@latest again to pick up 4.9.1.

4.9.2 is up. Same day, third pass, each one tested harder than the last.
This one is about respect for your results: sessions now show what they were actually about instead of "Auto-save (2 new messages)", duplicates are collapsed, and you can steer any search with ranking: blend, keyword, or semantic.
