I only planted in 2018 and I found the whole process very interesting, that my brother was teaching, but normally planted tomatoes, peppers, etc.

Autos are easier for beginners.
Each plant can give between 80 and 100 grams easy.
Done in less than 3 months, and some strains are very low smell if you have to grow guerilla style 🤣
