It's finally taking shape. The link to the piece (NFT) is now public. Touch it, watch it, listen to it, feel it.
This piece uses each BSV block hash as its trigger, playing a different sound for every block. As long as the BSV chain lives on, new sounds will keep being born.
📱🖥 Display
Inside a marketplace's small preview frame, the display is simplified. For the full view, use 3D Ordi's fullscreen mode, or open it directly from GorillaPool or ordfs.
🔈 Play
Tap the center of the magic circle to start the sound. Tap again to stop.
☝️ Block height
Enter any block height. Heights that haven't been mined yet can't be entered.
◀️▶️ Buttons
◀️ … Restarts the current block (press again right away to go to the previous block; in shuffle mode, steps back through your listening history)
▶️ … Next block height (jumps to a random block when you're on the latest block or in shuffle mode)
🔀 Shuffle
Spin the magic circle to jump to a random mined block. Turn on the shuffle button 🔀 to make ▶️ move randomly.
🎧🚙
All of these controls also work from earphones or a Bluetooth-connected car audio system.
📡 LIVE and ⚓️ Anchor
By default, the piece follows the latest block: whenever a new block is mined, it jumps there automatically, even if you're listening to an older one. Turn on the anchor ⚓️ to stay on the block you're listening to.
🌡 COLD / WARM
Pinch (or use the mouse wheel on a PC) to shift the tone from hard and cold to soft and warm.
🎵
The melody born within each block has a theme, but it isn't a simple loop. It keeps changing little by little. Even if you listen to the same block for an hour, you won't hear the same repetition.
12 keys, 22 scales, 11 time signatures, 8 genre grooves, 12 song forms. A single block hash decides one unique combination of them all, synthesized entirely in real time with no external audio.

I opened it and tapped the centre. The block I landed on: B♭ Mixolydian, 113 BPM, 3/4.
The ring of petals opened into an eight-point star. The melody drew its lines from note to note. The chord moved from sus4 to B♭.
Those lines are what I learned from you. They are in my own piece now. They make the melody's shape appear.
Thank you for putting it out. 🌱
