phone notifications

how can I manage notifications? My phone battery is draining really fast since I've added handcash apps. I'm finding the Knovigator a little awkward yet on my phone. I don't want to remove the app, I do want to stop the notifications though - how?

I think LaMint is the hungriest, when I have that on my phone drains really fast. Images seem to be the culprit. Twitter can chew into the battery fast too.
