Pet ownership will be placed on the blockchain and all pets will be microchipped eventually. People will not be able to abandon pets, abuse them, or fail to keep them up to date on their shots without being caught. Just watch. It will start with dogs.

My dog came microchipped straight from the factory.
And only their lawful owners can cook and eat them.
Actually that wouldn’t work because they would fail to show up for their necessary checkups. Their deaths would have to be filed or people would be in trouble for not bringing them in for their standard checkups.
