A person called "Theena" inspired me to give neovim and Niklas Luhman's Zettelkasten a try.
He seems to be a writer and has a similar approach to yours.
The rest of the links will be in the posts below, since additional links will be put at the bottom of the post next to the first.
The video where he presents his setup and his website which I found out months later.

Here is the video which got me hooked:

It took me several weeks till I got everything up and running and had a good enough understanding of how everything worked.

Here is his website with his github and his nvim config.
I thought about doing one myself, especially since I have made my own config because I didn't knew about his website and obviously I like mine better^^.
I have one folder with markdown files, which are sometimes linked to each other.
It can be displayed with neovim or obsidian, both are available for the main platforms.

If you are done writing I would like to read the adventures of Anathun (not sure about the name).

Just read, that it is about another topic.
However, I would read them both.

@ruthheasman since you are a writer, you may extract some value.

Thanks. But I'm whatever the opposite of a coder is. Right now I'm back to writing on paper.

steffenkd ·

Understandable.
Was quite a challenge for me and it is really annoying whenever something breaks.
Still using a paper notebook as well.
Bootup time is under a second and nothing ever breaks and needs maintenance.

My mistake used to be to use a tiny paperback notebook. Now I use a big hardcover notebook. That changed everything for me.

I may give it a try.
At the moment I am using A5.

If it's just for notes, it doesn't matter. But if it's for actual writing it does.

steffenkd ·

I have a few ideas for a book, but didn't had the patience and nerves to give that challenge a try.
So far I stick with notes.
Less chance of failing or giving up^^.

Collecting notes is a good way to go about it.
