People who want to free West Papua (WP) must first understand that WP is a province of Indonesia.
So if we want to free WP, then we need the UN to review the decision the led to it becoming a province, the Act of Free Choice 1969.

What is your connection to Papua? I'm interested in hearing more. Actually, I wasn't aware of the independence movement for West Papua, so thank you for bringing this to my awareness.
My only connection is interest. I believe that people are campaigning for the wrong thing, that is free West Papua. I think they should be asking their governments to request and support a UN review of the Act of Free Choice.
