most people would tell you we are going to see hyperinflation and it is possible, but what if as they print more fiat we stop participating in their scam and velocity drops exponentially? ever considered that scenario @24 ?

I don't believe that the velocity of money is related to the value of money. Value has to do with how much people want to save, not how much they want to spend. We can spend lots of money and still maintain tiny cash balances and vice versa.

Agreed, I didn't meant to imply that velocity would cause or be the consequence of saving/spending. Velocity is related to economic growth. As the economy is contracting, it has been falling exponentially since 1997 while gold has been rising.

so my theory is that, even if unrelated, it is possible that it could coincide that velocity is going down because of an contracting economy to the point that fiat isn't used enough to reveal money printing, which would be a non-hyperinflationary death.

the economy would then transition to Bitcoin and start expanding again

would could call it the "Bitcoin Big Bounce Theory" (3BT) based on the Big Bounce theory of the universe in cosmology
