Some people seem to think that blockchains are inherently centralizing. This is not true -- blockchains only encourage centralization if producing a single block gives you a leg up on producing the next one. There are ways to avoid this problem.

Block is found ince others start building on top of it.
Absolutely! But yes: I found a block. And the more tightly connected miners will know about it first. Think of the 10% on the edge who don't: they are going to be burning energy pointlessly, and therefore immediately become less profitable. Profit = power
