In short, it's the same reason why so many people have an unexplainable hate for Donald Trump.. the news articles they have been reading for the past number of years have all been skewed negatively against him and many lies propagated via the media.
Most of these crypto media organizations and even many large exchanges all funnel down to the same entities. These entities have a business model that needs Satoshi to be gone and the original version of Bitcoin buried and forgotten.
