People who have extensive knowledge of any given subject tend to overlook many of the diamonds and pearls they are in possession of, and realize their worth only when they see the reaction after sharing them with other people.
An example would be almost editing something out of a book only to find that everybody thinks that's the best thing about the entite text.
We often possess all kinds of treasures but think nothing of them, because they are normal to us.
