there is your standard thought-form, who is simply a figment of your imagination.
there is the disembodied evil spirit.
there are the fallen angels.
and then there are the Sons of Perdition.

if you are able to withstand an attack from a fallen angel or (very rarely is the case) a Son of Perdition, then you will be mostly free of them after. when they fail to attack and subdue a target, they lose power.
