Most people are so absorbed in the outside world that they are completely blind to what is going on within themselves.

I stand by the fact that space cannot be curved for the simple reason that space cannot have properties. It could also be said that God has attributes. But he hasn't. There are only attributes and they are invented by humans. We can only speak of true properties if we deal with matter that fills the space. To say that in the presence of large bodies space is warped is to say that something cannot act on anything. I refuse to subscribe to such a view.

Before many generations pass, our machines will be powered by a force available at every point in the universe. This idea is not new, we find it in the glorious myths of Antheus deriving energy from the earth, we find it also in the subtle speculations of one of your illustrious mathematicians.

There is energy everywhere in space. Is this energy static or kinetic? If static, our hopes will be in vain. If kinetic—and we know it certainly is—then it is only a matter of time before humanity will have successfully hooked up its energy technology to the very workings of nature.
