For those outside the UK did you know that by law we have to pay £154.50 or roughly $185 each year to endure BBC "programming" even if we choose not to watch it on our TV?

Its the same in Germany as far as i know. They pay roughly 20€ per month for state-sponsored media on tv and radio. Its a forced tax. You cant refuse or you go to jail.
