One of the most valuable mindsets to be in, if not abused, is "if not me, then who?"
By this I mean, if you want to see something done in the world, do it yourself, not because you'll do it best but because that's the only way you can ensure it is done.

Abuse of this mindset comes when you start thinking this means you ought to do everything yourself.
"If I don't grow the crops, then who will?"
"If I don't save the baby hippos in Africa, who will?"
etc.
There is still such thing as division of labor.
