.. one, and that is splits.
Similar to how a split fractures merchant adoption and usage it fractures tokens. Because as we all know, if you truly believe the IFP tax is good, you will want your users to move to that chain, this kills the network.

Right now the tax is not affecting the miners profits. But with taxes in general they never go down they always go up. Why would they agree to that? I feel a couple years down the road they are gonna ok so we had a hick up we have to raise the tax.

Do they have a plan to eliminate them once mass adoption takes place or something? Or is this just a temporary thing?

Completely agree.
Back in '18 some BCH people wanted to include a miner tax. CSW freaked out hardcore and reminded everyone the first taxes in the US were around 3%
If IFP ABC gains traction and moves forward there will be a day they want to increase tax

I agree 100% pretty foolish lets see how it plays out

Btw so its going to be bchabc for amaury and roger is going to stay with bch? Or is that still yet to be determined?

Haven't a clue how it will pan out.
After all shouldn't Bitcoin (BSV) have a stronger claim on the BTC ticker than the current Core BTC?
If anything it seems that the "popular" version usually maintains the ticker post-split.

It's definitely not temporary, and to make that even more crystal clear they have not said it would be temporary either.
However, if they said it were temporary I wouldn't believe them in the slightest. Neither would anyone really.

No way its temporary. I wasnt in bitcoin when the bch/bsv fork i assumed abc stayed with the bch ticker because they won the hash war. But i have no clue. Not even sure if the fork had anything to do with the hash war. Still really dont understand it
17MgXqNqMB648UNz9heZHswUQJ7o9xwkrk (1034) ·
Nope, they made deals with exchanges in the background to only follow their version. Even if BSV had "won" the hash war the exchanges had already chosen their horse.
The thing is BCH actually lost the second ABC implemented "checkpoints".

To be honest, I should actually take the time and make a write up of the BCH / BSV "hash war".
There's a lot to it and I think overall it is a very hazy episode in Bitcoin.
1z4hdDnjSwqkukN6VuSFjfmA9Zj29YHWc (25395) ·
Oh ok so was the reason for the hash war? Was it just a tough guy contest and had nothing to do with the actual fork?
1z4hdDnjSwqkukN6VuSFjfmA9Zj29YHWc (25395) ·
I got alot of ways through the video but it doesnt really explain why.
1z4hdDnjSwqkukN6VuSFjfmA9Zj29YHWc (25395) ·
it might be a hazy part of bitcoin but i realize it really pushes buttons with certain people.

Here is something I wrote in 2018 before the BCH / BSV split. My view has changed since then but in principle it is mostly aligned.

That was a nice read. What made you decide bsv?
1z4hdDnjSwqkukN6VuSFjfmA9Zj29YHWc (25395) ·
I can personally say craig is the reason i chose bsv. The reason being i cane into the bitcoin space this year just watching videos reading articles and i came to the conclusion that big blocks are the way to go and if craig is who he says he is everyone/1
1z4hdDnjSwqkukN6VuSFjfmA9Zj29YHWc (25395) ·
will come because its a selling point to new people in the space. I think its really important that he is satoshi and he can prove it in court
1z4hdDnjSwqkukN6VuSFjfmA9Zj29YHWc (25395) ·
Although i have to admit being in the community now and actually using it on a day to day basis even if he isnt i still made the right decision but i think it will still hurt bsv if hes not
